Adrian has painstakingly + lovingly applied gold leaf by hand to every piece
Adrian utilized a stream of consciousness method while embellishing each piece. This means that no two are the same. Each one has its own individual line of passage through the design. The delicate process, requiring time + attention, yields a beautiful outcome, allowing each piece to become unique unto itself.
The REBIRTH series is printed onto extremely fine 310 gsm cotton rag paper characterized by its matte watercolor texture, unique tactile feel, + visible surface texture. The fine yet highly pronounced felt structure of the genuine mould-made paper provides superb detail + depth.
During the exhibition WINTERLACED + KANSO presented a shibari exploration
The performance offered a place of syncretistic intimacy + interplay between the art on the walls + the muse that inspired the work.
